New Ulm, MN - We are the home of Velveeta! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKnxdE4mwZI Work Schedule Weekly Rotating Shifts (Monday-Friday) 9:00pm - 5:00am, 5:00am - 1:00pm, 1:00pm - 9:00pm (midnights-afternoons-days) +$1.00 shift premium for hours worked 6:00pm - 6:00am Boiler Operator at a glance The Boiler Technician is responsible for maintaining all maintenance, regulations, paperwork, chemical ordering, factory mutual insurance compliance, state inspection compliance, and any other pertinent operations requirements for the boiler room, and ammonia system. Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesPerform all functions necessary to operate and maintain steam generating equipment and auxiliary equipment in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.Perform all functions necessary to operate, monitor and document plant's refrigeration, air compressors, and powerhouse HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Kraft-Heinz specifications.Maintain, calibrate, and repair plant equipment such HVAC, refrigeration, plant utilities such as steam, water and electrical systems, electric motors and pumps. Install, calibrate, and trouble shoot steam systems, pumps, motors and any mechanical systems.Boiler operator will be responsible for environmental compliance of his areas. Other pertinent requirements will be established as required.Perform preservation and up-keep actions to assigned areas. Operator is responsible for scheduling and keeping sanitation complete in all areas of his domain and for the other operators under the chief.Ammonia system activities comply with PSM Standards. Required to perform all duties safely and use discretion to prevent injuries.Actively participating in continuous improvement efforts and compliance with established GMP's and operating procedures.Assist in implementing QCMS and training of new associates. Qualifications & RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of agoMust possess Minnesota State 1st Class B license or higher Boilers license.Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment including noise levels occasionally above 90 dB/systems operating up to 480 volts.Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures (some areas may get up to 95 and some areas may be wet at times) We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
